GMAT from an Indian Point of view

As per my experience suggests, getting good score in Math section is a cakewalk for Indian students (I have seen some examples other way around). But it is the Verbal section (mind that it is not English it is Verbal section) which puts some pressure on the students in India. Please don't refer too many books and keep on brushing your basics.
You may refer some of the books mentioned below:
> Manhattan's material for SC, CR, and RC.
> Kaplan's 800 GMAT
> OG (Must)
> Basic mathematics (OG + M.L. Agarwal will do)

> Essays - Totally depend on OG.
